I’d like to take this time to say that I am impressed with my post titles- always creative and relevant to the actual post….is this slightly egocentric, totally, but this is tumblr.

My family is so amazing. And not just my immediate family. As I type, I am sitting in a time share unit, which is very nice btw, on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. It is so beautiful, there are palm trees and other pseudo tropical foliage. The unit sleeps eight, has three bedrooms, three bathrooms (not half baths), kitchen and all that jazz. There are swimming poolS outside, golf is offered —though I get irritated with putt putt, I will try everything once (I don’t really mean that). Ready for the catch? My aunt and uncle are taking care of me financially through this vacation. As you may have read I recently moved back to my home town and I am unemployed as of now and have no form of income (yes there is a difference for those that want to be smart asses, lol). I am just so grateful that I was personally invited, I was upfront and said “thank you but no thank you, I cannot afford to go.” — the IMMEDIATE response was “Anwan, I didn’t ask you that. I am inviting you and I want you to come, we will take care of the financing.” 

If you don;t know about Hilton Head Island…it is one of those places where celebrities come to vacation..Oprah has property here!! You are likely to run into anyone on one of the beaches. This is truly a great gift and opprotunity to serve as a visual motivator to begin that new phase of life. I would love if one day my best friends, Lauren & Tierra, and I could have a time share like this. A week away from the world. I was lucky to get the wi-fi spot to send this. There is an amazing mixture of solidtude, nature and communial activites. 

Now as much as I love to sit and chat, I’ve got to go….it was a ten hour drive here…and though I didn’t drive not an inch…I didnt even sit on the driving side in the back. I am pooped. I think that this week long vacation will allow me time to think plan and thus relax. I truly love my family, not for the things they do, but for the people they are. This was such a nice gesture, and my aunt and uncle’s response to my thanks was “We just hope that you remember this!”, I’m sure I will. I look forward to my cousin and his wife’s arrival in the morning, they are amazing people too.

Moral of the story, positive thoughts create a positive outlook which activates positive action and you receive a positive response. Love someone else.
